Maritime Greenwich College is offering its own Intensive Pre-course English Language Qualification programme for overseas students is of 12 weeks duration, successful completion of this course allows direct entry onto the University programmes.

Therefore, there is no need for an IELTS or a TOEFL programme.

Commencement: Starts in September for January Session, Starts in January for July Session & Starts in July for September Session

Programme Fee: £950

Your English Language Level

As this is a short qualifying course, your standard of English needs to be of a good standard (i.e. Intermediate Level).

How to join the programme?

Post your application to the College mentioning that you wish to do this course, we will send you an offer letter for the Pre-Course English Language Programme together with an offer letter for the degree programme.

Applying for a Student Visa

If you need a student visa to study in the UK, submit your acceptance letter (which includes offers for both your courses) to the British Embassy/High Commission when applying for your visa.

Examination

You will be examined by the College at the end of the course as follows:

Academic Writing 30%: 1 hour examination.

Academic Reading 30%: 1 hour examination

Listening Test 20%: 30-45 Minutes.

Speaking Test 20%: 15-30 Minutes oral examination.


The minimum required grade for direct entry to the degree programme is 50%.
