Representatives are expected at all times
to conduct themselves with integrity and in a manner that
will reflect positively on the image of their profession and
of Maritime Greenwich College as reliable and honest
providers of high-quality education and training.

Representatives are expected to promote
themselves and the College in a professional and ethical
manner and should ensure that their activities reflect best
practice and demonstrate fairness, consideration and
objectivity in their actions.

Representatives are expected be honest in
communicating information about themselves, the College and
potential students in published, oral or any other form.
They should not knowingly or by a failure of professional
standards provide or disseminate false, incomplete or
misleading information.

Representatives are expected to promote
themselves and the College fairly and without recourse to
unfavorable or negative comparisons with other institutions.

Representatives are expected to act at
all times in the best interests of students, prospective
students and the College. They shall offer advice and
counseling and provide information to students and their
parents, where appropriate, in a manner consistent with this
principle.

Representatives are expected to conduct
themselves with due regard to the regulatory conditions in
the market(s) in which they operate. They shall comply with
all applicable national laws and industry regulations.

Representatives are expected to conduct
themselves with due regard to the need for transparency and
openness in all their dealings, both with their clients and
the College.

Representatives are expected to be alert
to ethical dilemmas and potential conflicts of interest and
seek guidance or objective advice for clients if such
situations arise.

Representatives are expected to show
appropriate sensitivity to and respect for other cultures
and value systems and should not discriminate or tolerate
discrimination on the part of others on the basis of ethnic
or national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion,
disability or age.

Representatives are expected to abide by
the College’s “Code of Good Practice for Representatives"
and to refer any complaints arising from the service of
representatives to the College.
